Agriturismo Ticci

We were there for a whole unforgettable week, though many other guests stayed only a day or two. Our days included mountain hikes and lots of swims in the river, often alongside people from nearby villages and farms. Manuela and Guiseppe Ticci were so warm-hearted and made us feel at home in their simple, beautiful property. Guiseppe cooked a different multi-course dinner each evening, and they were always ready to help us connect with the village. It made the week really special. Thank you again, the Mann family.

We didn't stay overnight, but loved eating here on two evenings in a row. The homemade food was fresh and a real treat for the senses, with such large portions that I'd avoid eating much earlier in the day. The outdoor setting was lovely, and the service was outstanding. Everyone was super friendly and made us feel welcome.

The surroundings are beautiful, with wilderness and history all around, and I wish I could rate the place higher. But the way the buildings and rooms have been done doesn't do nature justice, and the rooms have no personality. The restaurant also uses too much plastic, even plastic glasses and plates at breakfast and a plastic covering to protect the tables. The owners may be very nice, but when we arrived late in the evening for just one night, they didn't make us feel warmly welcomed. That's not a good way to encourage guests to return. I hope they improve these things and make better use of the area's rich resources, so visitors can experience Sardinian hospitality.

Ellio and Manuela were great hosts, and the food was more than I could eat, easily a 10 out of 10. We recently stayed at their magical place, where the scenery is breathtaking. If you're nearby, I can highly recommend staying with them.
