Volì club Bed & Breakfast

For breakfast, we had to go to the local YMCA to get a drink and a croissant. We’d booked a luxury suite but were shown to a windowless room with no furniture or storage for our belongings or suitcases. The only way to shower was in the bathtub, just 40 cm from the bed. Before reaching the room, there was an entrance dominated by a bar running its full length and a sign that said "b&bvoli nightclub." Outside the door, which opened directly onto the street, stood 15 overflowing garbage cans that were not emptied during our three-day stay. It was disgusting to enter and stay there. When we asked for another room on arrival, the hostess left quickly. The Booking.com listing is completely misleading.

We had a great seven-day stay in September after booking a double room. Valentina and her mother were both very welcoming, and her mother cleaned the room and changed the linens every two days. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had everything we needed, and the room was well soundproofed with adjustable air conditioning. The location was handy for both the town center and the beaches and seafront. I highly recommend it.

The rooms were warm, and we had to set ours to 16 degrees Celsius to cool it down. The other room had only a fan. We were on the second floor of a building with no elevator, and a cockroach came out of the sink drain when we arrived. The owner disinfected the room. Towels were changed every two days, but I had to ask for fresh sheets after the fifth night. For a week, three of us were given just two sachets of shower gel. We had to hang towels and swimsuits outside; one fell, and the owner asked us to find a long pole to get it back. We stayed for a week, and I highly recommend it.

The hotel has been recently renovated, with tidy, modern rooms and all the comforts. We got a warm welcome, and the central location is excellent, just 100 meters from the beach. I’d recommend it if you’re after a relaxing stay.
