We were left to fend for ourselves when we arrived. Nobody was there to greet us, there was no reception and no explanation. The room and shared spaces were dirty, and two bathrooms shared by five rooms felt more like a military barracks than accommodation for travelers or families. Our room was essentially a storage room, with no window, proper ventilation, or fresh air. The property knew this, even though they knew we were traveling with my wife and our 6-year-old child. Noise from the neighboring room came straight through the walls, including extremely unpleasant sounds. There was a strong mold smell throughout, and the room felt suffocating and unhealthy. It was –1°C outside, but the only radiator barely worked, so the heating was almost nonexistent. The sleeping conditions were unacceptable, especially for a child. This property is seriously misrepresented, and the reviews are highly misleading. I strongly advise future guests to be careful and not trust the ratings blindly. This is a health risk, not accommodation that should be offered to paying guests, especially families.

The location was handy, just off the main road, with shops and good places to eat a 10-20 minute walk away. I liked the room a lot. It had two bath towels, two hand towels, a little clothes stand, a wardrobe, and, for the first time for me in Italy, a full bed. I enjoyed the stay overall. The contactless check-in felt strange: my keys were left in a box open to anyone passing by. On the first night, the shower and sink drains weren't working. I reported it, and they were fixed by the next day. The lamps and outlets also stopped working at random; I reported that, and it was fixed within an hour. Once, I came back to find the door unlocked, even though I'd double-checked that it was locked when I left. I also woke with several huge bug bites, though I don't know what caused them.

The hosts were super friendly when we arrived and made sure everything would be fine for us. The breakfast was quite good and convenient, and the rooms were nicely decorated with all the basic things we needed. It's a really nice Airbnb, very centrally located in Siena. I highly recommend it.

Google Maps says they offer free breakfast, but they don't.

The kitchen has plenty of cooking gear, plates, and cups, and the dining room has a nice view. Great location and view overall. There are three flights of stairs to reach the rooms.
