Itinere Villa

Our friends had a lovely stay at the villa, and said it was clean and as described. But my wedding anniversary was ruined. The listing said pets were allowed on request for an extra charge. I told them weeks before check-in that we had a small dog who doesn't shed, has top behavior qualifications, and is covered by insurance for any damage. After three reminders, they replied only on check-in day to say they don't accept any pets, whatever the type or size, because of damage in previous seasons. I asked them to find a compromise after leaving us waiting so long, but they refused to change the website and said I should have asked earlier, even though I'd contacted them three weeks ahead. Since we were a group of friends, I ended up staying home and paying hundreds of euros for two nights I never used. This felt really unprofessional.
