Residence Pian del Sole

The venues feel stuck in the 70s, but the prices have been updated. It all seems improvised and run down. I won't go into detail. A terrible impression for tourism in Sila.

I was delighted to stay at this beautiful residence with my wedding guests and show it to my relatives and friends, whom Simmaco Marco Munno, my wedding driver and a very dear person, brought along to share the most beautiful day of my life in a wonderfully charming natural setting. I echo the review he wrote about seven months ago. Mr. Giuseppe Miletta handled the property and organization well, and I promised to return whenever possible with my wife and our little Romagna lagoon dog, Shila, to this lovely Pian del Sole residence in such an outstanding natural environment. That year, my wife and I didn't stay there ourselves, though I had the pleasure of hosting our relatives and friends at Mr. Giuseppe's residence. Simmaco and the others had a wonderful time, and if Giuseppe is happy to have us, we'll stay there every time this year! The lake views are spectacular and the entertainment is excellent. The day after the wedding, we had excellent pizza at the Da Zio Paolo restaurant and pizzeria inside the residence. I ordered a diavola, and the waitress knew that, as someone from Puglia, I like Calabrian food. She brought me three more little but very spicy chili peppers. A spectacle and a treat. I do wonder whether it might be possible to have an affordable tourist menu for lunch and dinner, so we could eat there one evening on our return from August 23rd to 25th, 2025. I stand by the review I wrote a year ago, when I hosted all my wedding guests. This time, I experienced how exceptionally clean the rooms are and saw once again how capable the manager, Giuseppe Miletta, is. The festivals are delicious, the entertainment is wonderful, and there are board games, quiet moments to relax, and a common room where I watched my favorite team play. Everything was lovely! Giuseppe bought the restaurant from Uncle Paolo because only you know what you're doing!

There's a lot to like here if you're looking for a chance to unwind, get some fresh air, and hike through lakes and woods. The location is excellent, with picturesque, tourist-friendly towns nearby. Rooms are welcoming and relaxing, clean, and in working order. Daily housekeeping and fresh linens are available. The staff are friendly, polite, and extremely helpful.

Last week was a nightmare. We were put on the fifth floor, where the elevator was so noisy it made us want to take the stairs. After a long corridor, we opened the door to a shabby, old apartment with no comfort at all. It all feels 40 years behind, and the whole place has an old smell. The bars and restaurants seemed straight out of the 70s, yet everything was expensive. Sila, time to modernize if you're charging those prices. Never again!
