This was a relaxing place to wake up, in a section of town without motor vehicles. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, breakfast was good, and the service went above and beyond. Everything feels like quality. On our ride from Reschen am See/Resia to Merano, it made a perfect midway stop. So far on our Austria-Northern Italy tour of Europe, it's the best hotel I've stayed at, even better than the Grand Hotel at Zell am See. That one was very good too, but felt a little like it was resting on its laurels. For context, I'm American.

The internet is a real pain, and there are details that could be improved. The place is missing a bit of charm. The rooms themselves are good, quiet, and have small balconies. There's a garage for bicycles with some repair tools, which is useful. There are lots of flies in the region, not just at this hotel.

I've been around the area many times and somehow only just discovered this Golden Nugget (Rose). If you're nearby, don't hesitate to enjoy the rooms, food, and hospitality this hotel offers.
