TH Simeri - Simeri Village

We were very happy with our choice for our first vacation in Italy in 08.2025. The hotel is peaceful and cozy, with easy access to the beach, and the staff were always welcoming, smiling, and polite. The food was excellent, especially the Italian pizza, pasta, and seafood, so we didn’t feel a need to eat at nearby restaurants. One thing to plan for: there aren’t convenient transport options nearby, so I’d rent a car ahead of time. With a car and a bit of extra time, visit Tropea, Pizzo, and Catanzaro.

The food was the one good part of the stay, it was really tasty. I was here with my 4-year-old and left disappointed. On our last night, someone stole my child’s scooter from the corridor, and the hotel didn’t even try to help. All the daytime and evening activities were in Italian, with no effort to translate or include non-Italian speakers, and there were no meaningful options for kids who don’t know the language. I also had to carry two 20kg suitcases upstairs alone because there’s no elevator and no staff offered help. The air conditioning was very loud. I wouldn’t return or recommend this place if you want a warm, family-friendly stay.

The staff were friendly and tried to help, even waiting while we used a translator or ChatGPT to communicate. Some, including the bar staff, didn’t speak English at all, and 90-95% of guests were Italian when we visited, so all the entertainment was in Italian. Breakfast could be improved too, since it was mostly sweet and may feel unusual to non-Italians. The rest of the food was the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive. The hotel grounds were cleaned and well maintained every day, and we loved the private beach, where we could always find a good sunbed. It’s in the middle of nowhere, but there’s so much to do on site that we never got bored. A rental company can bring a car to the hotel and pick it up again if you want to explore the area. I’d definitely come back, one of my best holidays so far. Cheers to all the hotel staff!

The food was really delicious. The setting is beautiful, but it’s a very quiet, village-like place if you’re thinking of coming with friends. There’s nowhere to walk around or shop nearby, so you have to go everywhere by car.
