The pool is lovely, and the water felt refreshing. It’s also a really quiet, peaceful place, good if you want to clear your head, and the staff were very nice. We booked the suite, but the room still felt disappointing: it was missing basics like tissues, and the beds weren’t comfortable. Breakfast was a letdown too, with few choices and mostly sweet things. It also seemed odd that we were allowed just one hot drink, like coffee.

We had a lovely stay, thank you. The rooms are beautiful, and breakfast was simple but tasty, plentiful, and came with good coffee. He also arranged breakfast at short notice for our early start. The restaurant and bar were closed, though, so there wasn’t much to do in the evening at the moment. It should be a beautiful place once it’s more finished and everything is running. I’d recommend it for a lovely rustic setting.

The property has a lovely park and pool, and its position is convenient, midway between Siena and Arezzo and close to Montepulciano and Pienza. The 13th-century farmhouse is charming, but the place feels neglected, almost like a faded aristocratic estate, and needs upkeep and renovation. Two people run the property; they’re clearly dedicated, but can’t manage everything and seem very disappointed. Our room was roomy but dated, with two sunken bricks by the bed leaving a dip that could easily trip someone. The light lunch was expensive. We asked for rice salad and cold pasta, but were told they couldn’t prepare them because the gas wasn’t working. The cold cuts and cheese cost €20, more than at restaurants in Siena, and seemed to be from the morning. The bruschetta was made with sliced bread, which felt like sacrilege. We also swam while the pool-cleaning robot was still in the water. The worker, who with a colleague looks after the whole farm, only removed it after we insisted. The prices don’t match the level of service. Unless they add more staff, I don’t see a future for the place.

The rooms were clean and the setting is beautiful, but the staff were rude and poorly trained. Breakfast was awful, with a limited selection of low-quality packaged products. Truly disappointing.

The staff and the woman at reception made our weekend with our newborn feel special. They helped us with everything and made all three of us feel at home. The village itself is huge, old, and full of history and tradition, with a well-kept park, gardens, pool, and open areas. It’s a peaceful spot where you can really unwind.
