Tenuta Bricchi

We stayed in the Passion room, which was romantic and had a wonderful terrace. Sara and Daniele helped us book dinners and a memorable truffle hunt. Every detail at Tenuta Bricchi is thoughtful, from the historic yet comfortable room and its useful amenities to the incredible view of the Langhe hills. The pool and sauna are available anytime, and the breakfasts are wildly delicious, with food from Daniele's own garden. It feels like a special blend of five-star amenities and the warmth of a B&B. One of the best places we've ever stayed, and it exceeded every expectation.

Tenuta Bricchi is tucked among the vineyards, away from town, with beautiful countryside scenery and a relaxing atmosphere. The classic Italian furniture and decorations give it a gorgeous, country-style feel that sets it apart from ordinary hotels. Dinner isn't provided, only breakfast, but don't skip it even if you ate too much the night before. The food is exceptional, made and cooked there with local ingredients, some from their own garden. The portions are small, and every item is delicious and distinctive.

The owners spent five years lovingly renovating this hilltop hotel, once their lifelong dream of running a guesthouse. Sara's design sense shows in every thoughtful corner, while her husband tends the hazelnuts and sets aside one full day each week for the gardens. Their care is evident throughout. They've kept the history and character while adding modern comforts. Our room had a well-designed bathroom and even a dyson hairdryer, a big plus for someone with long hair. There's an elevator and convenient facilities, too. That balance must take more work and money, but it's worth it. The antiques, rooms, gardens, and pool are so well kept that I wondered how large the staff was, then realized it all comes down to the owners' dedication. We returned from dinner one night to find candles glowing at the entrance, a breathtaking sight. Cleanliness, a lovely breakfast, complimentary drinks and snacks, chocolates, and a nightcap before bed all show how well they understand what guests enjoy. The hospitality feels special in a way that a family-run place can offer. A sleek modern hotel has its own appeal, but this has something different. It's hard to imagine it expanding or becoming a chain, and that's part of its charm. I truly want to return and hope the owners keep this work going for years.
