B&B Globetrotter Ortigia

The host was attentive and quick to respond, and it was a nice change to sit with him while he suggested things based on what we wanted to do and eat. Our loft room worked for us, though probably not for very tall or large people. The balcony was wonderful, and we were happy to have it entirely to ourselves. Water pressure was good too. The central location is a big reason we'd come back. The lively street behind the building is fun when you're out, but can make sleep difficult, so earplugs might help. We didn't ask for another blanket, but one beyond the sheet would have been nice, and I'm sure they'd have provided one if we had. Breakfast at the cafe didn't impress us. It was very cheap, but the choices were just coffee, a croissant or brioche bread, and orange juice. A few more options or something more filling would've been welcome. I understand this isn't fully under the owner's control, so I don't hold it against them. We might skip the cafe breakfast next time, but would still recommend this place to anyone staying in Ortigia.

The owner communicated impeccably, and the historical center was very close. Our room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a one-night stay.

We had an easy day working from home in this cozy, comfortable room, and the host was polite and helpful. It has two balconies. The street is lovely, right in the very center, with everything just a few minutes away on foot. Excellent value for the price, absolutely recommended!

Fabrizio was a real star, friendly and helpful, and answered WhatsApp messages instantly. The room was bright, beautiful, spacious, clean, and well equipped, with two balconies, a comfortable mattress, and huge built-in wardrobes. There’s also a nice shared area to relax in, plus an open-plan kitchen where you can use the fridge, microwave, stove, and other things. The hot water lasted, unlike some apartments where it runs out after a few minutes in the shower. The water is a little salty, so use mineral water if you want to brew your favorite English tea. This was the best apartment we stayed in Sicily. It's central, and the free car park is a five-minute walk away. It's busy, so sometimes you have to wait patiently for a space, but there are plenty of spaces and a lot of turnover. Also watch out for ZTL! There are two bridges to Ortigia, and one is in the ZTL zone.
