The hotel manager even asked me to cancel my booking, which I had made more than three months in advance. They claimed they no longer had availability because a longer stay had become more appealing to them. The booking platform was unhappy with how unprofessionally the hotel handled it and said they would follow up. Save yourself the time and book somewhere else.

Right in the middle of Ortigia, this was good value for a B&B. The place was modern and clean, with all the amenities in good shape. Breakfast was really nice, made to order and brought straight to our room.

Our room was spacious, clean and modern, and the location in central Ortigia was lovely. Mrs. Rita was so kind and helpful, while Mr. Daniele always gave us clear directions and information and was just as kind. We’ll definitely return.

I booked over the phone without even looking at the property online, but the friendly, understanding response to my one-night availability enquiry quickly put me at ease. They sent useful information and tips for Ortigia on WhatsApp right away. The building is historic and sits right in the tourist centre. Inside, I found a clean, welcoming, spacious room and bathroom with everything well arranged. Great value for money, and I’d recommend it. If you’re driving to Ortigia, parking matters. Talese car park is about a six-minute walk away and costs €15 a day.

I stayed from August 11, 2024, to August 18, 2024. Room 3, a quadruple, looked nice and being right in the centre of Ortigia was a plus, but there was no soundproofing. The garbage bins inside the entrance gave off a nauseating smell, and the room was dirty. I disinfected it myself and asked staff not to come in to clean. Worst of all, one evening my son went to shower and found a giant cockroach on him. I’d suggest plugging up all the holes in the bathroom.
