BB Residenza Matteotti

We had a wonderful 11 days and would definitely return to Residence Matteotti if we come back to Sicily. It's on beautiful Matteotti street, close to everything, with a grocery store around the corner and Viola cafe and restaurants nearby. The apartment was elegant, with wooden floors, comfortable beds, and new windows with blinds that kept outside noise down, plus beautiful curtains. It had everything we needed, including a washing machine and small dryer. It was cleaned during our stay, with the linen and towels changed. An Italian breakfast was included: toast, butter, jams, chocolate, juice, coffee, and water. The price also included all of that. Mrs. Anita welcomed us warmly and surprised us by picking us and our luggage up from the bus station. There was also a delicious tart and meringues waiting for us. We recommend Erminio Bar for its great coffee, cannoli, granita, and drinks served in a beautiful style. Erminio, the owner, is fantastic. It's on the way to the bus and train station, handy at the beginning or end of a trip, and we went more than once. Bar del Corso on Corso Umberto also has delicious coffee and cornetto, and Voglia Matta on Corso Umbertto has delicious ice cream. For car rental, we found I-Rent on Corso Umberto 1, 4 96100 Siracusa to be the best, with normal prices that weren't excessive like the traditional chain stores, such as AWIZ and Rent a Car.
