The location makes it easy to soak up the Ortigia atmosphere, with the sea just across from the entrance and visible from the window. The place was spacious, comfortable, and well stocked with things like kitchen utensils, towels, a hairdryer, and shower gel. The AC warmed it well during our December/January stay. We were welcomed with a small gift and kitchen refreshments, including water, coffee capsules, tea, pastry, and juice for our kid. The owner was super nice and communication was perfect. One heads-up: scooters sometimes go by at night, so the person sleeping on the couch might want earplugs.

We had a truly great stay. The apartment is pretty and cozy, with everything we needed, and it’s central while still being in a nice, quiet area. Alessandra was lovely and helped us with everything. She also introduced us to Lucia, who drove us whenever we needed and went out of her way to help. Thanks, Alessandra, for being such a good host. If you’re coming to Ortigia, this is a place to consider.

The one thing missing from the listing was the washing machine, which the website said the apartment had. Also, they list places in both Ortigia and Siracusa, so check you're booking the location you want. You can pull up next to the apartment to unload bags, but parking isn't allowed there. We used Autopark Ortigia di La Mesa Maurizio, about 300m away, or Talete parking, 800m away, where EasyPark works. The apartment itself was huge, with tall walls that made it feel almost palatial, and it was clean and cozy. The host was responsive and even got us a kettle and toaster when we asked. Ortigia is small and easy to explore on foot, and the apartments are by the shore, nice for stargazing and walks. It was our favorite stay in Sicily.

Alessandra helped us with the booking and welcomed us at the apartment. She was friendly and very helpful. The place had been renovated in June 2019 and had recently opened; everything felt modern and extremely clean, with lots of care given to the details. They had also left refreshments for us, including water, juices, coffee, and breakfast items. I highly recommend it.
