The pool is awesome, though there were wasps. It's an extremely quiet, modern house with a terrace overlooking the sea, and it's fitted out well, including a microwave, air conditioning, and washing machine. Getting there is a little complicated, but it's still fairly close to Syracuse and the lovely beaches of Arennela, Ognina, and Fontana bianche. The Wi-Fi wasn't especially good.

We enjoyed walking the deserted lanes along the rocky shore, with fields of wildflowers all around. In late March there were lots of migratory warblers, too. The setting is beautiful by the sea, the bungalows are comfortable, and the host is great.
