The apartment was large and had a great location, and the a/c worked well. That was about where the positives ended. It was dim inside, the shower was roomy but moldy along the bottom, and the utensils weren't clean. There was a cloudy substance stuck at the bottom of the coffee maker reservoir. WiFi wasn't great, though we ran into that throughout Italy. The bed was very hard, and the comforter had a big hole in it. Communication with the wonderful Italy group wasn't great, and check-in was unclear. Make sure you know which apartment you'll get, since the photos look similar and there are several suites and apartments. There are only stairs, no lift, and that should be disclosed. The bathroom outlet that could handle a hair dryer was behind the washing machine and falling apart. I probably wouldn't recommend this unless you only need somewhere to sleep and don't mind these issues.

The flat had a great view, a comfortable bed, modern furniture and plenty of space. I also liked having a washing machine. But the cleaning was disappointing: the downstairs entrance was filthy, the apartment wasn't properly cleaned, and it looked like no one had vacuumed. The coffee machine was really dirty, and they hadn't replaced the coffee, so we had loads of sugar sachets but no coffee or tea. The bathroom layout was awkward. There's a jacuzzi, which is nice, but it's at the lowest part of the room, so you have to bend down to shower. I expected better care for both the flat and its guests.

We stayed the night because it was too late to find another place, though we'd already decided to leave in the morning. After dinner, the apartment still hadn't warmed up as we'd expected when we turned on the heating, and inside had been about as cold as outdoors. At check-in I had mentioned the damp smell, and the host opened a window to air the rooms. When I asked about the heating, she explained it was a heat pump. There was another unpleasant surprise when I washed my hands: the water stung. Unplugging the washing machine from the outlet beside the sink fixed that problem.
