Breakfast at Benessere was delicious, and it came with a smile. We stayed at Domus Marie Albergo, just across the road from Benessere and a little nearer the sea. David was cheerful, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout, with spot-on suggestions for places to eat and drink each time. We only met Cynthia on our last morning, but she gave us great tips for places to visit during the rest of our Sicily trip. A great experience, highly recommended.

It was an unusual but interesting place, and I was amazed to find such an exquisite spa filled with beautiful Italian and Turkish marble. Since I’m a man and the hotel is actually a convent run by actual nuns, I felt embarrassed that they cleared the whole spa just for me. My hour-long session felt very VIP. There was an incredible storm outside, and we had a front-row view from our seafront window.

The hotel is well placed for visiting all the island sights. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the comfortable beds made for an excellent night’s sleep. There was little noise from outside. Breakfast was good, and the polite, helpful staff provided good service.

A charming, quaint place in a quiet area, close to the main centre. The rooms were large, clean, and very nice, with modern en-suite bathrooms. Staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful. Great views from the rooftop solarium too. I’d recommend staying here.

We had great views from our room and the rooftop deck, and everything was within walking distance. The staff were lovely and looked after the hotel as if it were their own home. Parking was tricky if you don’t know the local rules. We got a ticket, then struggled with the parking meters, which don’t tell you it costs 10 euro per day.
