We stayed at Elsa D’ Ortigia from 13-16 Oct 25 and loved how quiet the rooms were. The Duomo, the Piazzas, and the seaside were all within a 15-minute walk. Andrea and Maria managed breakfast well, always checking that we had enough food, and the breakfast itself was sufficient. Our hosts were so hospitable that they even drove us to the bus station when we wanted to visit nearby NOTO, and again when we were leaving Siracusa for Palermo. The unexpected train rescheduling could have thrown our Palermo plans into disarray. After dropping us at Siracusa station for our departure, they came back in their car about 30 minutes later to help us figure out how to get to Palermo. We are used to public transport being punctual, so the unannounced change had really unsettled us. Coming back to offer advice after already giving us a lift says a lot about their professionalism and how much they care about visitors having a safe, good experience in Ortigia. I have no hesitation recommending this B&B and hosts Andrea and Maria to other travellers. Their thoughtfulness and help may seem small to them, but it meant a lot to us in an unfamiliar place. Thank you again.

Maria and Andrea welcomed us so warmly and were flexible about our arrival time, making us feel like special guests. We had booked the large Diana suite, which sleeps about four with a queen bed and two twin beds. The bathroom and shower were beautifully designed, clean, and working well, with both hot and warm water. Breakfast was served on site each morning by Maria in her dining area, where she invited all the guests to sit together. It had a real famiglia feel, so be ready to mingle 😊 There was fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, sweet bread and juice, plus savory pastries, cheese, salami, espresso, and fresh milk. The B&B sits between Via Giudecca and the lively Via Roma, in a peaceful, walkable spot. Lungomare and the entrance to the underground routes beneath Ecclesia San Filipo Apostolo are less than a three-minute walk away. It's a little farther south in Ortigia, and taxis have some trouble reaching it, but the main piazza squares and routes are still close enough. This idyllic Sicilian seaside B&B was exactly what we were looking for, and more.

On a quiet alley right in central Ortigia, with great restaurants and landmarks nearby. Mariagiovanna and Andrea served a top breakfast and were lovely hosts. The room was reasonably priced, with a very comfortable bed, a roomy shower, and a nice little balcony.

Everything is within walking distance at this fabulous B&B. Maria and Andrea took such good care of us, and the rooms and breakfast were fantastic. Highly recommend.

This characterful B&B is comfortable and stylish, with a modern feel, right in the center of Syracuse's old town. It's thoughtfully designed and suits the needs of today's traveler, in the authentic Giudecca quarter. There are local restaurants and bars right nearby, along with the Marionette Theatre & Museum (Teatro e Museo dei Pupi), Arethusa’s Spring, the Cathedral, Diana’s Fountain, the Old Market beside the Apollonion, and the recommended Museum of Archimedes & Leonardo. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, with daily service, and breakfast includes both savory and sweet items with local delicacies. The owners even gave us a lift from the bus station on a rainy day when we arrived in May 2025.
