Salvatore even showed me his favorite swimming spot in a protected area of the Mediterranean and took me around both old and new Syracuse. It was better than any of the “official” tours. He and his family looked after me so well, and Salvatore is gentlemanly and well spoken. The quiet, secure, clean, friendly B&B is good value, conveniently located yet away from the bustle of nearby Syracuse, about a five-minute drive. The rooms are spacious and clean, with mosquito screens, and there’s a shared outdoor kitchen and dining area. There were also unexpected extras at no charge. A great experience at a reasonable price, and I’d thoroughly recommend it. I can’t wait to return. (John Burns)

There's a communal kitchen on the terrace that guests can use for free. The host was so kind, and the garden is beautiful, with a nice view.

Mr. Salvo was friendly and helpful, and didn’t ask for a deposit when I booked. The accommodation is rustic and welcoming, out in the countryside about a five-minute drive from Syracuse. It was excellent for a short stay at the end of April.
10/10
The rooms were extraordinarily clean, so kudos to the people who look after them. Mr. Salvatore and his wife are truly wonderful, and he was especially attentive and kind to his guests. The property is surrounded by greenery and has everything you might need on holiday. There’s a spacious bedroom, a nice bathroom with a handy washing machine, and a very functional kitchen. It’s well located for visiting beautiful beaches, including Fontana Fredda Beach, the Avola seafront, San Lorenzo Beach, and Noto Beach.
2/10
There wasn’t enough information about the toilet being connected to the sewer system, and that could be a problem if you’re not used to it. The owner is helpful when asked, but hard to deal with otherwise. Make sure the room you booked is the one you’re assigned.
