La Casa Di Bice

I can’t think of anything negative about the stay. Angela, the owner and manager, welcomed us warmly and gave us lots of information about the apartment and area. She used a translation app to communicate in Dutch, our native language, which helped a lot. She sent recommendations for sights and places to eat over WhatsApp and was available when needed. The spacious ground-floor apartment felt like home during our rental. It was the first of three available units, each with its own street entrance, and was immaculately maintained, like new, and spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds. We visited in December/January and found the multiple air conditioning units very practical for heating. The location in Cassibile was perfect for exploring towns by rental car: easy to reach from the highway, just off the main road and quiet, with pizzerias and coffee shops within walking distance. We visited much of the southeast coast, including Ragusa, the southernmost tip of Sicily near Isola delle Correnti, Marzamemi, Noto, Avola, and Syracuse, as well as Catania and beautiful Taormina farther northeast. Taormina was a bit farther, but easily doable as a day trip from Casa di Bice / Cassibile. There are beaches accessible from the apartment too, though I can’t comment on them since we visited Sicily in the winter. I highly recommend this accommodation!

The apartment was new, clean, and tastefully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking comfortable. There was also a washing machine, hairdryer, and even an ironing board and iron for anyone who wanted them. We stayed at Bice's house from May 10th to 20th, and everything was perfect. Parking was available in the courtyard. A special thanks to lovely Angela for the warm welcome and helpful organizational advice. It’s an excellent base for exploring eastern Sicily.

Everything we needed was in the new, comfortable apartment, and shops and services were all within walking distance. Angela, the wonderful owner, welcomed us during the last week of September and made us feel right at home. The location is also ideal for visiting lovely places around Sicily. We hope to return. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and had private parking. It’s right in the center of Cassibile, with bars, supermarkets, pizzerias, tobacconists, and more close by. Bice's house is a great base for visiting Noto, Syracuse, and the surrounding area. Angela is incredibly kind and always available with advice on places to visit and restaurants. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!
