When my little boy needed to go to hospital, the staff arranged an ambulance and taxi, translated for us, and even saved us a lovely fruit platter and pastries since we missed breakfast. They were so kind and helpful throughout. We could WhatsApp reception from anywhere to order food, drinks, or a high chair, and they’d reply and bring it over quickly. Our drinks didn’t arrive on the last day, the only small issue we had. The view from breakfast over the private beach and out to sea was my favourite, with nothing spoiling it. Breakfast was delicious, and so were the lunches and dinners we had at the restaurant. The pool was large and spotless, and our room was comfortable and clean. Beautiful hotel, amazing views. Highly, highly recommend.

The resort was quiet and peaceful, which we especially appreciated in the off-season. It’s beautiful and well cared for, and everywhere was exceptionally clean. The team really made the stay feel easy and special, with kind, attentive, genuinely helpful service. WhatsApp made communication simple, whether we were ordering cappuccinos or sorting out where to have meals. Every request was handled promptly and thoughtfully, so the experience felt very personal.

We loved the private, peaceful feel of Minareto, with its lovely grounds, sandy stretches, and rocky coves. It’s also close to Ortigia, a Sicily highlight for its charm, history, and fantastic food. The suites were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully put together, and breakfast each morning was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. From the moment we arrived, the team was warm, professional, and thoughtful, making everything feel effortless. A one-of-a-kind luxury resort experience if you want beautiful beaches, great accommodation, excellent service, and easy access to Ortigia.

We booked a standard double and, for the size and bathroom quality, it didn’t feel like a five-star room. After we complained, we were moved to an upgraded room for the final night. The sandy beach in the photos is lovely, and some of the suites and family rooms are beautifully renovated, but the smaller rooms have an 80s style. Other parts didn’t consistently feel five-star either. Room service had a strange menu and limited hours, there were very few shared lounging spaces for rainy days, and the breakfast buffet was decent but closer to four-star quality. To me, it felt more like a four-star hotel overall. I’d only recommend it if you’re prepared to pay for an upgraded room.
