The room was clean, welcoming, simple, and practical, and the staff were kind, helpful, and well organized. Olivia Rooms Teocrito is also very close to the Greek Theater in Syracuse, and being able to have lunch or dinner at the owners' small restaurant was a real bonus. The mattress was too soft for us to sleep as well as we wanted. I also regret that I was charged the tourist tax even though I'd already paid it through Booking.com. I didn't want to make a fuss, so I showed the attached documentation because we were short on time. It may have been a one-off mistake.

The balcony overlooking the street was a nice feature, especially since many rooms don't have one. The room was spacious, welcoming, and had all the comforts, with top-notch cleanliness. I'd happily book here again if I return. Highly recommend it.

The location is fairly convenient, and the room itself is nice. But over four days nobody made it up or changed the sheets or towels. The bed base was completely torn. Reception is at the bar, where the staff are friendly, though understandably busy with other things.

Breakfast came with a pastry, sweet or savory, which was excellent, and a drink. The drink choices were limited, though: no extracts, smoothies, fruit juices, almond milk, or granitas, just a half portion. In the room, the sink and shower were clogged and drained very slowly. We reported it, but nothing was fixed. The bed sagged badly, and the air conditioning kept beeping for the first few nights. I wouldn't stay again.
