We were supposed to stay five days, but the hot water was barely warm and couldn't be fixed. Even the "best" room was tiny, with just one small closet and no hangers or drawer space. There was only a little table with two small chairs, no sofa or comfortable chairs, and no ice available. The tiny fridge was full of their supplies, all for sale. For such an expensive room, it was completely disappointing.

It was quiet at night and in the mornings, even though everything in Ortigia was close by. The place was really clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come back next time. Great location, just far enough from the busiest streets.

The staff made us feel at home, and the amenities were brilliant. They upgraded our room before we arrived, and on my birthday they brought up a cake with a candle. Such a thoughtful surprise. Breakfast was outstanding: fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented, with Cristina looking after us each morning. Many thanks to her and the rest of the team. Palazzo Salamone is a beautiful hotel in a great part of Siracusa, and I'd highly recommend it.

The main dining room has the feel of a very cool James Bond movie set, and the hotel's contemporary design is interesting and gives the place an exclusive feel. The food and service were excellent. We had one of the best traditional Sicilian breakfasts we've eaten anywhere in Italy, hosted by Cristina. She and the rest of the staff took great care of us.

Cristina, our waitress, was so attentive and great fun to chat with. Breakfast was sublime, the bed was very comfortable, and all the amenities were of a high standard. A great hotel in a good location.
