We spent New Year’s here, and the location made it easy to enjoy the center, with the cathedral nearby and the sea close too. Our two-bedroom suite had plenty of room, from the big living area and comfy sofas to the well-equipped kitchen and spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. It felt warm and cozy, and Mariella was friendly, kind, and quick to respond. Just be ready for the stairs: it’s on the third floor of a very old building with no elevator, which was tough with our large suitcases. I’d recommend staying here in Syracuse.

Ortigia is a lovely place whether you’re there for a night or longer. The apartment has everything you need, and Mariella is a wonderful host. The location is fantastic. Highly recommend.

The hosts made us feel at home and were so helpful with getting around the city. Getting to the building takes a little planning since it’s in a restricted traffic zone, but they gave us clear instructions for driving in and unloading. The apartment itself is spacious, nicely furnished, and offers several sleeping arrangements. We only wish we’d had longer to enjoy its comfort and good atmosphere. Everything was handled so well, and I’d absolutely recommend it.

We found the owner friendly and helpful, and the central location was very convenient. The rooms were roomy, the beds comfortable, and one bedroom looks out over the sea. My only small complaint is the bathroom, which feels dated and could use a renovation.
