Park Hotel

The room was very noisy, right next to the elevator, and we could also hear a drain pipe. We barely slept, it was a terrible night. The room and toilet were clean, and the staff were great, but there was a smell as if someone had been smoking in the room. Breakfast was poor.

The walls and doors are so thin you can hear people’s private conversations, phone calls, a neighbor using the bathroom, a baby crying down the hall, or someone opening a door. The aircon fan couldn’t be turned off, so it ran all night. Breakfast was mediocre, and without a vehicle you’d need to take a taxi every day. We arrived in the late afternoon to find our room still uncleaned, then waited a long time in the lobby. We had booked a double room but were given twin beds.

Siracusa is a US hotel (“Quality” Inn), and it was awful. The air conditioning was broken, the towels were dirty, shredded rags, and the sheets were barely clean. The shower had broken glass doors. The water worked, but wasn’t potable. This is the worst place. I give it negative 12, minus 12. Do not ever stay here!

The photos on the website must have been photoshopped, because the real place is a different world. Black marks cover the bright walls, and there’s still paint on the light switch. The Wi-Fi only works in the hall, the shower has mold, and the AC is so loud you can’t relax with it running.
