At 30 euros a night, I suppose you’re meant to treat it as an adventure. But even in mid-October, with June-like sunshine and lovely, almost romantic air, there are some basics you might hope for: a bed that doesn’t creak like a horror-movie door, a reachable light switch, plastered walls, and blankets without stories from earlier guests. The toilet needs a little ritual to flush, the shower feels like shock therapy for anyone claustrophobic, and the mini fridge isn’t plugged into an actual outlet. Still, these days 30 euros barely buys a sandwich and a drink at a service station, so don’t make a fuss.

I can’t give less than one star only because that isn’t possible. I booked without seeing the place, and otherwise I would NEVER have stayed. I’ll let you judge for yourself. It’s a shame, since a little attention and a minimal investment could help restore its value.

A good value for the price. The room, bathroom, and bed linen were clean, the water stayed reliably hot, and the internet worked perfectly. The air conditioning worked too, and all the mosquito screens shut tightly. The beach is only a few minutes away on foot.

We spent June 2nd to 4th here with friends, taking a few quiet days to relax and tour Syracuse and the surrounding area by motorcycle. The owner was warm and helpful, and gave us useful tips on what to see. Tommy, a sweet older dog who kept to himself, made the stay even nicer. The rooms were clean, though they could use improvement, and breakfast was generous with plenty of variety. A very good place for a few peaceful days.
