Salemarino apartment

I loved being able to snorkel right from my private sea entrance and spot so many colourful fish. The place was amazing, comfortable, peaceful, well equipped, and had plenty to enjoy right there.

The veranda alone, with that view, is worth the price. “Salemarino” is ideally placed for enjoying the Syracuse seascape, and the villa is both beautiful and functional. The owners are kind and helpful, too. Montalbano’s house in the movie is much, much better, you know. Stay here and you’ll definitely return for the beauty and practicality of the villa and the owners’ kindness.

Once you get here, even shopping can feel like a reason to leave. I’d rather stay in the garden with its ping pong table and barbecue, relax, have an aperitif on the sea-view terrace, or watch something on the 60-inch screen. The house has everything needed for comfort, and the owners’ rare hospitality is part of what makes it so special. It sits on the beautiful Plemmirio coast with crystal-clear water just outside, for your exclusive use. You fall asleep to the sea’s scent and soft waves, then wake to the same invitation for a morning swim. There’s plenty nearby to explore, from Ortigia and the Caravaggio preserved in Syracuse to archaeological areas, baroque Noto, Ragusa and Modica, Marzamemi’s folklore, and Fontane Bianche beach. Still, this is the vacation home I’d dreamed of, wrapped in Sicilian charm.

Salvo helped our family feel completely at home during a carefree stay at Salemarino, right by the Sicilian beach. The house is only steps from the water. After snorkeling, the hot shower was especially welcome, and the private jetty made getting into the sea easy since the rocks are sharp and jagged. We enjoyed relaxing on the shaded patio, with its flat-screen TV, and sometimes watched movies in the evening in the sea breeze. The accommodation has insect screens and air conditioning, and a covered carport protects the car from the sun. The friendly cat, Socke, also came by regularly.
