There was no reception, and the landing was shared with the other apartments. When my credit card was declined, cash was demanded, or I was told there would be a €15 charge. The room was tiny and uncomfortable, with just a bed and almost nowhere to keep my things. The balcony was shared, so there was no privacy. The bathroom was cramped and the shower very small. An electrical switch was broken and powered from beside the washbasin. The AC was broken, patched with silver duct tape, and leaked water onto the wall. They refused to change the towels or clean the room. The landlord and staff were arrogant, swearing and shouting at clients.

The room was tiny and in bad shape, with around 40 mosquitoes and flies inside. There was also a mark on the bedspread that looked like blood. I tried to save a couple of bucks by booking an independent hotel, but this was a poor stay.

Parking was easy, and the owner responded quickly, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The hotel is far from the historic center. Our room was okay, though the bathroom was so small it seemed made for a Lilliputian. The room was very noisy, especially the one facing the street and the drinks machine that ran day and night. The road was busy at night too. We couldn’t sleep because the AC compressor on the room balcony was so loud. We asked to move, and the owner put us on the other side, where it was a little better.

The staff were lovely, warm, and helpful. The room was nice, as was the bathroom, though there wasn’t much room to put things down. Breakfast was just average, and there was no hazelnut spread, which is a must for kids. It’s well placed for sightseeing, but too far from the center to walk there.
