Tempio di Giove Park

The pool was stunning, and we found Tempio di Giove Park a lovely spot for total relaxation. We spent a week on holiday at the property. Giovanni and Daniele were professional, kind, and always ready to help guests. Many thanks from Samantha, Mary, and Frenci.

The panoramic view from the hill of Olympeion looks out over Syracuse's large port. I know the villa inside and out, every corner of it. It was a dream villa before it became a residence, and it still feels that way now. Mr. Gianfranco Maimone is very kind and courteous, and makes a real difference. The pool area and villa grounds are kept in great condition, but the rooms were dirty and the furniture looked like it was from 1980. The beds felt like camp beds for refugees. In room number 3 there was no cover for outdoor dining. The room's air conditioning didn't work and leaked, and the remote controls were faulty. The TV was poor quality and had to be unplugged to switch it off. The bathroom lock was defective, and both my daughter and I got locked in. There was no drying rack, either. The only place to hang clothes was on a cable from the air conditioning unit to the wall, but if the gardener got up before you, you'd find everything wet. Watch out for the mouse hole in the first air conditioning unit. The driveway where you unload bags was covered with olive tree branches, so you risk scratching your car and have to struggle to get out. There's no playground, and without a car you can't get anywhere: the bar is 1 km away, and both the nearest supermarket and the sea are 3 km away. There was no trouser press or hair dryer. The coffee maker was an old, moldy moka pot. In short, it's a dump!

The outside looks beautiful, but the rooms and bathrooms were awful. Cleanliness was below zero, and with the high prices, it just isn't worth it. We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
