Villa Fratelli Vivaldi

We had plenty of room in this apartment right by the sea, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The terrace has a beautiful panoramic view. The owner was super friendly, and it was easy to get to Syracuse and Noto. This was the best place we stayed on our Sicily trip. We’ll definitely come back.

There was a bad smell in the bathroom, the air conditioning didn’t work, and the roller shutter was faulty. The apartment was dirty when we arrived, outdated, and poorly equipped with things in bad condition. The owner’s response to our complaint felt incredibly unreasonable. On top of all that, the neighbors had music and parties every night. It was unbearable. Avoid at all costs!

The worst part was arriving to find everything so dusty that we had to thoroughly clean the kitchen and bathroom before using them. Despite that, the staff were very helpful with our requests, including questions about the area. The apartment is only steps from the beach, and it has a garden shower for rinsing off the sand, so you can go down in your swimsuit and come straight back. Inside, the rooms all had working air conditioning. There’s a washing machine, plus a storage room with cleaning supplies and an iron and ironing board. The kitchen is spacious, with plenty of utensils and pots, and its peninsula makes it easy for everyone to help cook or set the table. The dining table is a little small but still comfortable, and you can also eat outside by the kitchen window. The house is tastefully furnished and well arranged for a short stay. The bathroom is lovely and has all the useful bits, including a laundry hamper and trash can. Highly recommended.

The terrace is definitely the best feature, and the owner is very kind. The house is quite large, and staying there was very pleasant overall, though parking can be difficult. There’s a tiny beach 100 meters away, but you can’t use it without paying the neighboring lido.
