Villa Sunset Bed & Breakfast

The pool and courtyard are lovely, and the location is really convenient. There's a local beach across the road, touristy town spots just down the street, and Siricusa is about a 15-minute drive away. The rooms are pretty basic, but they do the job.

After three weeks in Sicily, this was the most expensive B&B we'd stayed in, and it didn't meet our expectations. The daily room cleaning was good, fresh towels came after two days, and toilet paper was included despite what some reviews said. Breakfast was a letdown. The photos made it look fresh and appealing, but much of it seemed instant or store-bought, from Lidl or elsewhere, and everything was wrapped in plastic, which felt very unsustainable. Mostly, though, we felt unwelcome. No one explained breakfast when we arrived, and we were told to bring coffee and tea from our room. There were cameras everywhere. When we tried to open the umbrellas, someone rushed out to tell us not to. The pool was ice cold, and there was no parking spot for our car, so we left it on the street. The staff weren't unfriendly, just absent. After three weeks of warm welcomes around Sicily, this felt like a cold shower.

We had a lovely stay at sunset villa. It was clean and beautiful, and Angelo was a great host, always smiling and very helpful.
