Bed & Breakfast da Beatrice

Miriam was so kind and helpful, and the room was cute with a comfortable, firm bed, just how I like it. There isn't a lift, and a table outside the room takes away some privacy. It's also a little far from the bus station, but still a nice place.

The lakefront setting was lovely, the pool was amazing, and Miriam was lovely too. Breakfast was nice. We were in the creamy brown room, which was beautiful, but ants made us leave a day early. I noticed a lot of ants on the floor when we arrived and told Miriam. She said it was due to the changing weather and being by the lake, but didn't come up to deal with them. The next morning there were even more, covering the floor. We found them in the bed too and had several bites. My partner went to get Miriam, and she immediately blamed food in the room, even though I'd told her about the ants before we'd brought any food in. She came up with ant spray and a hover. We went out for the day, but felt too uncomfortable to stay with that many ants, so we called AIRBNB to complain and see if we could move elsewhere and get some money back. We had booked three nights at €90 a night, but stayed two nights and left the next morning. Miriam returned €60, not the €90 for the unused third night. The location was lovely, and it would've been a perfect stay without the ants.

Our room had ants all over despite us not eating in it. We did find breadcrumbs under the bed, though, which made me wonder how well it had been cleaned, even if it looked tidy. The hosts were friendly and the place itself was nice. Breakfast was okay, but I missed having vegetables.

We spent two nights at B&B Beatrice. The hosts were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and pleasant, and what a lovely dog 🙂. Good value, too.
