The room's on the small side, but it has what you need if you're out most of the day, as you tend to be on holiday. The bed is comfortable, and the air conditioning kept the room cool day and night even in hot weather. Downstairs, the bar serves really good coffee for a great price, €1,50 for a latte macchiato. The staff are friendly and were patient with my mediocre Italian. It's near the coast and only a 10-minute walk from the center of Sirmione. I'd stay here again. The shower is tiny. Bending down is almost impossible, so shaving your legs means standing outside and trying not to get the floor wet. The hair dryer wasn't much use either, but in the hot weather my hair dried quickly outside.

Our room was small, though it had a large shared balcony, and we were out most of the day anyway. The Wi-Fi didn't reach room 4. The hotel was incredibly clean, possibly the cleanest I've stayed in, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection at continental breakfast. There's a nice beach just a 2-minute walk away, a small supermarket 5 minutes away, and lots of restaurants nearby.

The room was like a prison cell, complete with rock-hard bed, paper-thin walls, spiders on the bathroom ceiling, and towels you could mistake for toilet paper. We heard every passing car and every bump from the neighbors at night, and the room hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. This was easily my worst hotel experience, despite having traveled through a dozen European countries and most of the continental U.S. You usually get what you pay for. At Hotel Ganfo, you don't even get that.

If you’re keeping an eye on costs, this is a dependable budget stay. It’s very basic, but clean and equipped with what you’d expect for the price. The lake beach is a couple of minutes away on foot, and Sirmione takes a longer walk or a short bus ride.

The downstairs bar was such a nice surprise, with really good coffee and perfect bread 🥰. It’s a little far from Sirmione castle, but the staff are so kind, and there’s air conditioning too.
