Super clean and really well equipped.

For what this room costs, it’s ridiculous. There’s no ceiling light, so arriving after dark meant trying to find a light with my phone. We eventually spotted two bedside lamps, but neither was plugged in. The bed’s uncomfortable, there’s no proper trash can, and there was a notice on a little table saying not to eat or drink, which may explain that. The shower was filthy and moldy, the toilet seat wobbled, and the toilet paper was the cheapest, thinnest stuff. There was just a little 3-liter bin, and no service at all, not even taking out trash or cleaning the shower. We got one spare pillow, that’s it. Wi-Fi barely worked, maybe 10% of the time, and the signal was weak even then. We mentioned the problems while there, but they were brushed off or minimized. They said they’d clean the shower, but didn’t, and instead left used gloves in front of it. Guests couldn’t use the terrace either. The walls are really thin, when the neighbor gets home it feels like he’s in our room. If you want somewhere to relax after a long day, this is the wrong place.

The owner made us feel very welcome, and the room was comfortable, clean, and nicely set up. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable, and there was a spacious bathroom and shower, smart TV, air conditioning, and two complimentary bottles of water. My girlfriend and I stayed one night to see Sirmione. It’s easy to get around from here, with free parking close by, several great restaurants, and a bus stop for the historic center. You can also walk there along the lake, which takes about 45 minutes. There’s a lovely terrace for all guests to use too. Highly recommended.

There’s a nice upstairs terrace with two swings and two sofa sets, and it was pleasant to sit up there. The house was easy to find, close to a bus stop, restaurants, and two big markets just a two-minute walk away. We couldn’t get hold of the attendant, though he did arrive while we were waiting outside. We were in the back room on the right, one of four rooms. It was clean, and the bathroom was roomy and comfortable, but the room itself felt damp, stuffy, and cold. An air freshener was being used to cover the smell, which bothered me. The internet didn’t work, and opening the windows or using the air conditioner didn’t help much. I woke up feeling congested, and the humidity was heavy. I wouldn’t choose this room for a long stay.
