The pension sits among olive trees and has a wonderfully private, distinctive atmosphere. Two lovely Italian women run it. They only speak Italian, but we managed to communicate somehow. The bed was the main problem: a good mattress sat on a base with wobbly legs, so whenever one of us moved, the whole thing shook and woke the other briefly. Not ideal when you’re motorcyclists who need proper rest. Breakfast was modest, mostly packaged items with a little fresh sausage and cheese, but enough to fill us up. The ladies were so nice and the setting so unique that I’m still giving it 4 stars despite those drawbacks.
