Hotel Du Parc

The highlight was the 4-course dinner each evening. We reserved our first table and chose the courses at reception on arrival, then picked them during breakfast on the next days. There was always at least one vegetarian main course. The first course wasn’t always vegetarian, but with the bread served alongside it, that was fine. The food was really good, drinks cost extra, and the prices were very reasonable. Restaurant staff were especially friendly and attentive, and many spoke German. Breakfast was enjoyable too, with a good choice of spreads, muesli, bread rolls, and more. I especially liked the fruit salad. Vegetarians only had one kind of cheese, though there were lots of sweet spreads. We stayed three nights on half board. Our room was quite spacious and had what we needed. The furniture wasn’t very modern, but it all worked. The TV was a bit small, and the balcony view was fantastic. The pool area looked very nice, and the old town is within walking distance. We parked in the underground hotel garage, which was often full in the evening, even in the low season. We’d definitely stay again.

We had a pleasant stay while driving through Italy. The hotel feels a little dated and the beds weren’t very comfortable, though the jacuzzi was a nice extra. It’s 30-40 minutes to the Sirmione peninsula and 5-10 minutes to restaurants.

The rooms were comfortable and well kept, and the hotel is maintained carefully down to the smallest details. The food was good, service excellent, and everyone courteous. For the quality of the hotel, the prices are affordable.

We had a lovely stay during our summer holiday, with excellent food and staff who were always friendly and accommodating. There’s no playground or playroom for children, unfortunately. At the end of August there were lots of Asian tiger mosquitoes around, though that isn’t something the hotel can be blamed for.
