Appartamento Ideal

We spent a long weekend here in August and were very happy with our choice of Hotel Ideal. It felt like a peaceful refuge on the crowded peninsula, at the very northern end of Sirmione, away from the tourist bustle. We especially loved the pool and its lovely lawn, shaded by old olive trees, with a wonderful view across the southern Lake Garda. The breakfast buffet was very good and plentiful, and the service staff were friendly and easy to deal with, especially Simone at reception. We’d be glad to come back.

The pool and private beach were nicely set up, with plenty of shady spots under the olive trees. We were very happy with our two nights and the generous breakfast. The reception guys were great at suggesting restaurants around town and helping us book tables. We came as a family of four, with two kids. Sebastiano/Simone helped with the booking by email, and when we arrived, after the nerve-wracking drive through town, there was plenty of parking on site. The hotel sits just north of the old town, at the north end of Sirmione. Driving there means taking narrow passageways at walking speed. It’s honestly manageable, though you have to make room for other vehicles and might need to time it around the delivery trucks that go in and out of town. The cleanliness really impressed us. The rooms were spotless, and the efficient cleaning lady got everything shining, even the spots other Mediterranean hotels tend to miss. Usually there’s limescale in the shower or dust, but this place was just...clean. The location was the best part of the stay.

We were so glad we found a room at Hotel Ideal for our Sirmione visit. The location is exceptional, and the room price was very competitive. We chose the option with breakfast, which was incredible too. A special thanks to Simone at reception. He shared helpful information on the area, places to eat in town, and activities to try, making the visit much more enjoyable and memorable. Mille Grazie, Simone, for your expertise and care.

We stopped for a lovely spritz after the long walk to Jamaica Beach. It was nice and quiet, with fantastic views and very friendly service.
