Hotel La Rondine

Cheap hotel, but there are better options for less money. One building is a 2-star facility even though the hotel is advertised as 3-star. The air conditioning won't cool below 22°C, the shower pressure is very low and the water only gets lukewarm, and there are no pool towels. The decor is poor, and the pool isn't clean. They seem to cut corners on everything.

The breakfast view was breathtaking, and the homemade ricotta ravioli was the best I've ever had. Our dachshund seemed to enjoy the holiday too. He's allowed beneath the sunbeds, and the hotel was so dog-friendly. The staff welcomed us warmly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We'd originally booked another Lake Garda hotel that disappointed us, but finding this place changed everything. It saved our holiday and made it special. We'll definitely come back. Mille Mille Grazie!!

The location is okay, but the service was rude and the quality poor. They charge extra for everything, even a small bottle of water in the room that should be included in the price. You can't use the minibar for your own drinks, apparently, and are pushed to drink what's in it so they can charge you more. They need to learn hospitality and respect for guests. For this money, you can get much better. This felt like a poor hostel worth £50 a night, with no class at all.

After I came back from using the restroom, the man at the front desk said, "You, the Israelis are all the same." I'd told him twice that I was there for breakfast, after he ran after me and questioned whether I was a hotel guest. I showed him my American passport and left. The front desk guy was arrogant and rude, and the place felt antisemitic. There was a Caffe sign at the restaurant entrance, and we'd planned to eat there. We went for breakfast somewhere more hospitable.
