Hotel Ocelle Thermae & Spa - Adults Only

Four stars is a joke. This was awful value for money. There’s no indoor pool, and the photos are misleading. The thermal pool is tiny and dirty, with bits of skin floating around, so it was unpleasant to use. The outdoor pool was small and freezing in April, and I couldn’t see what purpose it served. The “Junior Suite” was just a small standard room, and despite requesting a central bed, we got one pushed against the wall. Breakfast was a complete letdown: a tiny board of basic cold cuts and cheeses, cold scrambled eggs, and mostly sweet food, which wasn’t much use to someone wanting a savoury start. We arrived early, and half the items were already gone with nothing being replenished. There was no information about saunas either. Do they even exist, and are they included in that extortionate room price? Awful experience for the price.

It’s a quiet, clean hotel with a cosy bar, a thermal pool, and a great breakfast. Town is just a five minute walk away, with lots of restaurants and lovely long walks along the promenade. All the staff made us feel welcome and helped make the stay extra special. A special mention to Daniela!

We had a great three night stay. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, the staff were friendly and attentive, and there were plenty of good food options. We didn’t try the spa services. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

Big thanks to Ocelle. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, personal, and helpful. We had a lakefront room, which made the stay feel extra special, and the location was very convenient: the castle, old town, historic landmarks, and excellent restaurants were all just a few minutes away. Breakfast was included and had a nice range of food and drinks, including bubbles if you want an early start. Nearby wine and deli shops added to the fun. If you need a ride around the lake or to the train station, just ask the front desk. We had a great time here.
