Mavino Appartamenti

The apartment was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We loved the location and sitting on the little balcony, watching deliveries to the shops and restaurants in the morning or having a drink there before dinner. Check-in is at hotel Mavino, where the staff were very nice, and the suite is about 300 mtrs away. A few things would make the apartment more practical, especially for a five-day stay: some hand sanitizer, decent wine glasses, shampoo, a dishcloth, and a shower shelf for toiletries. A towel rail or a couple of bathroom hooks would help, as would a toothbrush holder or shelf by the basin. We’re older in age, if not in spirit, and bending down repeatedly was difficult. There were a lot of suggestions, but they’re just ways to make an already good apartment even better.

The owner was kind and quick to respond, and the place was clean enough and in a good spot. My kids especially loved the stairs, hiding places, and balcony view. I managed with what we had, but I wish there’d been cooking utensils, hot pads, and dish towels. There were eating utensils, just nothing for cooking. I’d recommend it.

I sent some friends to stay for two days in the heart of Sirmione's historic center. They had a wonderful time and were thrilled with Franca's thoughtful advice. They thanked me for suggesting it, so it was a great experience.

The apartment has plenty of potential. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and even walked us to the apartments. We had a spacious room with a nice kitchen, lots of light, and a view over the village. The soundproof windows were a plus too. The issues were the tiny bathroom, especially the bidet and sink, and the lighting and sockets. There were no bedside lights or way to switch off the main lights, and only half the sockets worked. An average stay overall.
