Suite Marta

The towels and linen were awful, and the duvet had stains. The furnishings felt tacky, with cheap materials and the cheapest equipment. Everything seemed to be falling apart.

Stay at your own risk. I left an expensive item of clothing behind and contacted Marta, the host, the next day. She acknowledged having it, but has refused to return it. For almost a month she hasn’t replied to my many calls, emails, texts, or Instagram messages. Two family members who live in Italy have also contacted her to get it back, and she still won’t return it. There’s been no word from her at all.

It’s hard to attach screenshots of all the calls and messages you haven’t answered. You haven’t responded to me or to the two people in Italy who called to arrange collection. You know someone is going to pick it up, which shows you’ve read my messages, but you still haven’t replied. The only time we spoke, we agreed you’d mail it to my home. It’s suspicious that you could respond to this review within ten minutes, yet ignored every call and message for a month. This makes it seem clear that you’re deliberately keeping my belongings.

The location was great, close to the bus station, and the apartment was spacious and nice. The host was friendly and gave us a helpful introduction to the city. A few things need fixing, though. For instance, the shower can’t be adjusted, so you have to hold it yourself.
