The bathroom was awkward to use: the door wouldn’t open or close properly when someone was on the toilet, and there was nowhere by the shower or sink to set shampoo or shower gel. The drive in was another problem. Reaching the hotel means going through Sirmione’s historic center, where the lanes are extremely narrow and the area is pedestrian, so we felt we had to hope nobody was coming toward us. No one at the hotel warned us about this. When we arrived to check in on Saturday, the two people we met seemed both uninformed and arrogant. They then told us cars could not enter or leave the historic center on Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM, which left us stuck there. We had come to Garda with our child specifically to visit GardaLand, and when we asked about other ways to get there, they didn’t know the cost or whether public transport went there. The steep lane up to the hotel was also impossible to manage with luggage on foot, unless you came by car, and that hadn’t been mentioned either. The kitchen staff were very kind, breakfast was tasty though not very varied, and cleanliness was fine.

Check-in and checkout happen at another hotel a few minutes away. This was a clean, quiet place, just outside Sirmione’s center, and breakfast was included, good and convenient. Parking is a bit tricky with a large SUV like a Peugeot 5008, though manageable. The staff were friendly.

Breakfast was perfectly fine, and the place itself is tucked away and quiet, about a 10-minute walk from Sirmione’s historic center. Getting there by car means dealing with narrow streets and tourists, so it’s not a drive I’d want to make every day.

From the balcony we had a fantastic lake view, and the welcome was exceptionally warm. The place was clean and tidy, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. It was served outside on the terrace with the other guests, which worked really well. The location is close to everything but away from the noisy tourist area: walk 5-10 minutes one way for the center, or the same distance the other way for the beach. You can choose whether to join the tourist bustle or enjoy the quieter hours nearby. Just be ready for a difficult drive through narrow, crowded city streets. I first thought there must be another route that avoided what looked like pedestrian roads, but there isn’t. Still, it’s a fantastic place.

The air conditioning worked well, and I’d pay the extra 10 EUR for a lake-facing room. It’s a quiet spot with a short walk to Jamiaca beach and into the busy tourist part of town. The rooms are nice and breakfast is good. Taking their parking is a good idea, since driving through town is quite an experience.
