Villa Sibilla

We wanted a simple, relaxing stay, and this was just right. The views of the sea and the location are amazing, and it has what you need to enjoy the fresh air. It’s not a fancy place, and you should be ready for some dirt road driving.

The terrace view is so moving, you could sit there and feel like your holiday had already begun. This is a lovely place surrounded by nature where everyday rush fades away. Francesca and her partner are warm and genuine, and they made us feel completely at home. Breakfast was delicious, with a good spread of homemade sweets that changed every day. We really enjoyed walking to the sea through the lovely unspoiled scenery, and leaving the car behind gave us some exercise too. The rooms are spacious and simple, a little retro, but just right if you don’t expect anything fancy. I would have liked mosquito screens, though there weren’t that many mosquitoes. We’d gladly come back!

The peace and quiet at Villa Sibilla was exactly what we wanted, surrounded by nature and with cicadas as the main sound of the day. Francesca and Guido were warm, friendly hosts who happily helped with every request, and we felt right at home. The place is intimate and impeccably clean, with care in the details and a calm feeling throughout. Our room stayed naturally cool without air conditioning, and its sea view left us speechless. Each morning we woke to the Adriatic’s endless blue. The large panoramic terrace is a wonderful spot for a generous, thoughtfully prepared breakfast, or just a coffee and a book. There’s also a swimming pool among the greenery with a sea view, perfect for unwinding. Sassi Neri Beach is about a 20-minute walk along a wide path that’s fine in flip-flops. We spent a few unforgettable days here. Highly recommended if you’re after a peaceful, authentic stay in the beauty of the Conero. Villa Sibilla feels like a place for the soul.

The terrace alone makes the stay worthwhile. It looks out over the park, the Sassi Neri beach below, and the coast, and Francesca serves a great breakfast there. To get to the beach, you can walk about twenty minutes on paths through the park, or drive to a parking lot in Sirolo and take the shuttle. We stayed at Francesca’s B&B as a couple and had a very pleasant time. She was kind and accommodating with all our requests. The property is deep in the Conero Regional Natural Park, so evenings are especially peaceful, surrounded by nature. You reach it via a dirt path that isn’t very comfortable, but it’s manageable, even in rain. There are also plenty of places to visit near Sirolo, including Loreto, Recanati, Ancona, and Numana.
