Su Leunaxiu

You just sit down and enjoy what comes to the table, and there's plenty of it. Every dish was delicious, with local ingredients you can really taste. The staff were attentive and so nice, making us feel at home. A great spot for generous, authentic home cooking in a warm setting. I had an excellent time and highly recommend it.

We stayed at Su Leuxania for four nights in May 2024. We picked an agriturismo for its countryside feel and the tranquil stay described in earlier reviews. The Booking.com listing also showed the on-site restaurant open during our dates. The location worked well as a base, about 20 minutes from Cagliari with connections to other places, and breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice and friendly staff. The room, though, was very dated, dimly lit, and awkwardly laid out. The air conditioning didn't work at all, so we had to leave the windows open, and the road noise from about 150 metres away was noticeable. There are no cooking facilities. We had to go elsewhere for meals or try making sandwiches with just plastic cups and a spoon. There wasn't even a bottle opener. The restaurant was open only on a few evenings, Friday during our stay. It seemed to serve a set banquet for €50, which was excellent, but with no alternatives we could only enjoy it once. There were also two events during our four nights, with very loud live music from mid-afternoon until 8 pm. We could hear the party music inside with every door and window closed, so relaxing was impossible. The car park filled up with more than 30 vehicles, making a space hard to find, and people were talking and moving around at all hours. It's hard to recommend this agriturismo for accommodation when it seems the party venue and other activities are being prioritised.

A lovely place, with welcoming staff and delicious food made fresh. They also had gluten-free items for us.

Just outside Cagliari, this is a really peaceful place, around 20 minutes from the airport. Every host was so kind and did their best to make us comfortable. Giuseppe was always ready to help with any problem, no fuss. We had a bit of a language barrier, but got by with Google Translate and hand gestures. If I return to Sardinia, I'll definitely come back for Sunday lunch. It was exceptional, to say the least.
