Residenza Somma

The apartment itself was nice, but the walls really need repainting. When we arrived, basic things were missing: toiletries, toilet paper, guest towels, and enough face towels for three people. We called and got the other two face towels, but not the guest towels. The breakfast for three was absurd over four days, just three individual jam portions and a few savory rolls like breadsticks. There was no coffee at first; after we asked twice, they brought some for the third breakfast. Kitchen utensils were very limited, and the pillows didn’t have double pillowcases. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The apartment was spacious and clean, with two rooms and a fully equipped kitchenette. The landlady was already there to welcome us and was very nice and helpful. We paid a good price for four nights at Residence Somma in Sommacampagna and agreed with her on a fifth bed. It’s in a new building on the first floor. You have to keep the keys for both the apartment and the house with you because the entrances are electronic and you can’t get in without them. There isn’t always someone on the ground floor, and if something falls off the balcony, you need to call the landlady to help retrieve it. We booked through Booking. Parking is available right outside, and there’s a great artisanal ice cream shop across the street. A large shopping center is five minutes away on foot, with a pizzeria nearby too. The motorway exit toward Milan is about five minutes away, but nights were still quiet. It’s around 30 minutes to Verona and Sirmione, and about an hour to Malcesine. A handy base for Lake Garda, Verona, or Mantua.

THANK YOU! I loved being welcomed with such care and friendliness. The place was clean, practical, and had everything needed to feel at home. I really appreciated that the property is accessible for disabled guests. It’s easy to find, close to the highway exit, and in a peaceful setting.

We had a little girl with us, and Alessandra looked after us like family, checking every day that all was well and helping us whenever we needed it. She even came to pick us up at the entrance to the village at 1 in the morning. That kind of kindness comes from a big heart, not money. The place was completely new and turned out even better than we expected. Thanks so much for everything, Alessandra. You deserve this whole review.
