We felt well looked after as Americans, especially by the restaurant staff, who were wonderful and helped us figure out the local area. Breakfast was delicious and worth adding to the reservation. This historic hotel has been updated with modern finishes, and its bathrooms feel luxurious while the beds are very comfortable. The location is as central as it gets for a stay in Sondrio.

We spent six nights here in July 2025. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely mountain view. The staff were very friendly, and everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel and would definitely return for a longer stay.

We stayed six nights with my family while skiing in Valmalenco, and the hotel made a great base. The slopes are about a 20-minute drive away, and back in Sondrio there were plenty of restaurants and walks to enjoy in the evening. The hotel's central location made that especially convenient. Our room was great, with a very comfortable bed and a large, clean bathroom. Everyone was friendly and helpful, from reception to the cleaning lady to the breakfast waiters. Breakfast deserves a mention on its own: the selection was excellent and the quality was high, so we looked forward to it every morning. Parking in the hotel's courtyard costs Eur 15. We used the covered underground car park right next door instead, at Eur 10 per night. A fantastic stay with amazing staff. We'll be back!

We enjoyed our three nights at Grand Hotel Della Posta so much that we added a fourth. The location was amazing, the staff were efficient and courteous, and the amenities were lovely. We'd stay there again if we return to the area.
