Notti Etrusche a Sovana

Breakfast at the bar was excellent, and the location made spending the night in Sovana feel like a dream come true. Alessandra and her family were impeccable hosts. The room was comfortable and the accommodation spotless. Highly recommended.

We keep coming back to "Notti Etrusche a Sovana" in Sovana, a beautiful and enchanting village, and have noticed more attention each year to guests' comfort. One thing that has always been top-notch is Alessandra's kindness and willingness to help. She's the owner of this little gem, and we'd definitely recommend spending some "Etruscan nights" here. We'll be back. The rooms are compact but very practical, comfortable, tastefully furnished, and spotlessly clean, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. There's a kettle, tea and herbal tea supplies, bottled mineral water, a refrigerator, bedside slippers, and a fan, though the room stays cool even in August. The bathroom water is drinkable, and linens are changed every two days. The amenities feel like those in a four-star hotel. At the entrance you'll find guidebooks and books to browse. You can also sit on the outdoor bench looking out across the valley in the quiet. Breakfast is served at La Loggia del Capitano, only a few meters away. The bar also serves excellent pizzas, platters and sandwiches, along with fantastic spritzes expertly prepared by Matteo.

Alessandra sent all the self-check-in details, local sights and dining suggestions before we even reached Sovana. After meeting her, my husband and I were struck by her kindness and her family's too. They share the work of running the bar next to the rooms. Our room was spotless and nicely furnished, with all the comforts we needed, including a fridge, several pillow options and bathroom toiletries. I'm really glad we stayed with her, even for just a few days. I hope we can return.
