Albergo Escondido

I slept well on the comfortable bed, though the single room felt a bit cramped. I could hear my neighbor snoring, so the soundproofing needs work. The set dinner was good, and I'd stay here again if I'm back in the area.

The business lunches are affordable, and the food is good, simple home cooking. The staff are friendly too. Escondido really lives up to its name: out in the open countryside of Soresi, it's easy to miss if you don't know the area.

I always book this place when work brings me to the area. The owners are friendly, the food is good, and I sleep well. It's right out in the countryside, with all those country smells, and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in summer. The cooking is simple and homestyle, and they try to meet whatever you ask for. Rooms are clean every time, though nothing special compared with plenty of other hotels. Prices are excellent, but depend on what you need.

I was here for work for two weeks, and won't forget it. The place is far from everyone and everything. There are flies everywhere, and if they run out of rooms, they'll send you to another place where rain comes into your room. The mosquito screens have gaps, so mosquitoes get in at night; together with the flies, that made it hard to sleep. I found someone else's hairs on the bed. One night the owners locked me out, and I had to climb over a gate to get back to my room.
