I had a really nice time here. The room was very clean, and the bathroom and kitchen were kept tidy. The kitchen was well equipped, with a stove, fridge, and plenty of cookware. I also met interesting people from lots of different countries. Thanks to Marcello for all his hard work and kindness. Sori is a quiet village, about 25 minutes from Genova, and Recco, a larger town next door, is a 40-minute walk away. There are lots of hiking trails in the mountains right behind the house.

There are two fully equipped kitchens, upstairs and downstairs, and the beds and mattresses are very comfortable. For more privacy, I’d suggest adding curtains to all the beds. The owner is kind of annoying: he only speaks Spanish and addresses all the guests in Spanish without using Google Translate. He also walks through the rooms all day without knocking. It’s disturbing, and he seems not to understand room privacy or how intrusive that feels. The hostel is in a great spot in a coastal town.

The crew are super sweet, and there are lovely little sandwich and pasta shops nearby. Sori’s sunset is amazing. The hostel also makes a great base for exploring the nearby touristy cities, or for spending a quiet day at the beach.

Marcello was so kind and welcoming. My wife, daughter, and I stayed for one night and felt very comfortable. It was a really good experience, and we’ll definitely return. Highly recommended 👍

A lovely, well decorated hostel at a good price. The interior feels modern, while the outside has a more traditional look. It’s only a couple of blocks from the beach, a handy base for exploring Liguria’s beaches, trying Italian gelato, and enjoying pizza.
