Da Mara Lago Di Como

Check-in was easy, and the host was kind and quick to help whenever we had questions or needed local information. We had a wonderful two-night stay with friends in this clean, welcoming apartment. It had everything we needed, with comfortable spaces for relaxing and spending time together. I’d choose it again if I came back to the area, and would recommend it to groups of friends or families.

We had three apartments for our two nights with Mara, from December 31st to January 2nd. The largest one was ready for us to celebrate our 31st birthday together, and the stoves made the atmosphere feel even more magical while keeping the apartments warm. Everything was spotlessly clean, and everyone had comfortable slippers. Breakfast was fantastic, both sweet and savory, especially the excellent homemade cake. Highly recommended!

It’s a quiet place for a relaxing break away from the bustle, and the owner is extremely kind and helpful. The road to the property is winding, unlit, and full of hairpin bends. In the village, the streets are narrow and steep, parking is difficult, and there’s no elevator or easy access. Nearby, there’s a grocery store and butcher for small things. The bright, lovely apartment stays cool even when it’s very hot outside, so there’s no need for air conditioning. It’s clean, has Wi-Fi, and the memory foam mattress and pillows, along with the silence, made for a great night’s sleep. On arrival, there was a welcome tart and everything needed for sweet and savory breakfasts.

Mara is so sweet and takes care of whatever you need. The place is very quiet, and the apartment was clean, spacious compared with many others, and had everything we needed. She brought a delicious chocolate cake for breakfast, which the kids were very happy about. I recommend staying with her!
