B&B Sorrento Relax

We booked through Hotels.com under the name B&B Sorrento Relax, with the same photos and also awful reviews. We were rushing when we made the reservation and missed those reviews, but noticed them later and cancelled before the refund period ended. We cancelled two weeks before the trip, and six weeks later we're still waiting for our refund. He charges the full amount at booking. I've tried contacting him on WhatsApp, the only way to reach him, but he barely replies and only speaks Italian. Don't send this place your money.

The room didn't match the pictures, and it wasn't very clean. There was an old, dirty blanket, no wifi, and the air conditioner smelled so bad we couldn't use it. The owner said breakfast would be served, but it never was. The window views looked photoshopped 😀

The room and toilet were very good, but the process was quite difficult.

I was meant to stay at Relax Apartment Sorrento on Santa Lucia 18, in a private apartment. On the day I checked in, the host called about a plumbing problem and offered me this place instead. I accepted because I couldn't see another option and wanted to enjoy my holiday, though looking back, that was a mistake. I paid for a private apartment without other guests, but this alternative had a shared kitchen. I stayed at the property, which may now be called Confort Holidays, according to Booking.com, and the photos match. The host was always pleasant, but didn't even ask for my ID, so anyone could have stayed there. I find that absurd and illegal. I contacted Booking.com, though I doubt they'll do anything.
